Walchsee - the warmest bathing lake in Tyrol
Excellent water quality
The landscape at the foot of the Kaiser Mountains features rolling hills, and in the middle of it, just like in a picture book, is Walchsee, which reflects the peaks of the "Koasa" (as the Zahmer Kaiser is affectionately called).
Pure bathing fun
Dive into the warmest bathing lake in Tyrol - with up to 25 °C water temperature in the summer months Walchsee is a bathing paradise. The high water quality makes swimming a pure delight. The beautiful lakeside promenade, with well-kept green areas and flat lake access invites strolling and bathing. Children are delighted by the water trampoline and the iceberg that is fixed in the lake. They can also enjoy adventures at the children's playground, with a pirate ship and fine sand. The natural sunbathing lawn at the eastern shore bathing area offers pure relaxation and a stunning view of the Zahmer Kaiser and Chiemgau Alpine foothills. Fun and sport is provided with a beach volleyball court, children's playground and the 800 m² aqua fun park with bouldering wall, trampoline, slides and blobbing.
Active in the water
Walchsee is a paradise for water sports enthusiasts – a water skiing school invites you to have a go at skiing over the surface of the water. Row and pedal boats, stand up paddling and windsurfing round off the offers. Walchsee, which is rich in fish, also attracts fishers to the shores in the early morning.
Four-legged friends have their own swimming area at Walchsee (entrance 2 to the eastern shore)
