Geology path
The Kaiser Mountains as a witness to the history of rocks
After a comfortable ride with the Kaiserlift you will see the first board of the geology path directly at the top station. The path leads toward Weinbergerhaus and around Brentenjoch. After a section in the forest, the geology path follows the panorama path toward Brentenalm, then back up to the top station.
9 stations present the events that led to formation of the Kaiser Mountains. You learn interesting facts about the substructure of the mountains, the ongoing processes that are still changing the "face" of the earth, and about continents, mountains and seas that existed and then disappeared. What remains is a skin with scars and folds, the surface of the earth. These processes are explained in the correct order on a tour with our geologists, and described in exciting detail.
