A difficult via ferrata at the Ottenalm in Walchsee.
The via ferrata on the Ottenalm in Walchsee embed themselves perfectly in this landscape of the vegetation-rich rock faces of the Harau Spitze. Three via ferrata routes reach through this wall. The Ottenalm Direttissima is very demanding for climbers in terms of climbing technique and is always exhausting. The Walchsee circuit on the far right is ideal for beginners. From here also the variant of the mountain companion Steig begins, which leaves out the entry tower and the bridge. The Bergkameraden Steig offers appealing places and comes up with some surprises. The two-cable "Brücke am Gweih" requires some courage but offers a deep view into the valley down to the distant Schwemm, the largest high moor in Tyrol. Finally, after beautiful wall passages, we cross the "Schluchtenscheißer" bridge directly to the exit at Harau Spitze. The descent follows through the fragrant Latschengassen to Harau Sattel.
All via ferrata are on the north side and often wet for a long time after rains.
