Thierseer glowing lake

The Thierseer Seeleuchten is the third edition of the solstice festival around Lake Thiersee

The solstice festival has a long tradition in the Alps. The custom of building fireplaces on this day dates back to the 12th century and is said to promote growth and fertility. This year, Lake Thiersee also lights up on the longest day of the year. Flaming lights on the lake, torches and fire pits at the Thiersee lido and along the path around the picturesque lake at the foot of the Pendling enchant this mystical summer night.

With the Thierseer Seeleuchten, the Thierseer Verein Dompfpass in cooperation with the TVB Kufsteinerland is organising a summer midsummer festival for the second time, which combines the glow of the mountains and the lake. The festival starts on 22 June at 17:00 at the lido.
