The Pink Banana in Schwoich - Specialties of the highest quality
Philipp and Claudia Zangerl aim to run a restaurant that is unique and stands out a bit from the others. This starts with the name, continues through the decoration, and culminates in an exclusive menu offer. The fact that an extraordinary whole emerged in Schwoich in November 2019 has quickly spread, and so The Pink Banana has already gained great popularity in a short time.

Anyone studying the menu of The Pink Banana can immediately see that this is indeed a truly special restaurant. The values, preferences, and passions of the chefs Claudia and Philipp are reflected in the menu, as they pay attention to regionality, quality is important to them, and they share a passion for Asia, where they even got married. Thus, one can find not only unique menu creations but also a wonderful mix of local, Mediterranean, and Asian cuisine. The entire kitchen team has worked in upscale top gastronomy and therefore brings a wealth of experience and know-how into their daily work. However, head chef Philipp does not pursue awards or ratings. His principle is quite simple: He wants to cook fresh and honest, and he wants the guests to enjoy the food. Ultimately, that is what matters, and that is the stated goal.

To give guests the opportunity to watch Philipp and his team at work, there is the option to reserve the "Chef's Table" indoors or outdoors. At this table, there is space for a maximum of eight people, who can look forward to a surprise menu while observing how the kitchen operates. Of course, preferences, intolerances, and dietary restrictions of the guests are clarified in advance. The Chef's Table is very popular among the restaurant's visitors and is well-received.

Kitchen Monkeys in the own kitchen
Anyone who entrusts the cooking for a private celebration to the Kitchen Monkeys from The Pink Banana enjoys two major advantages: Firstly, one can enjoy the celebration stress-free, and secondly, the guests will be amazed by the special delicacies. Event catering for up to a maximum of 80 people is possible for Philipp and his Kitchen Monkeys crew. The delicacies from upscale gastronomy are usually served in a flying buffet style, allowing guests to sample different dishes without having to choose just one. The finely presented delicacies are true culinary delights and add a special touch to private festivities.

Homemade curries including recipe and video tutorial
Anyone who wants to cook their own curry at home without sacrificing the incomparable taste from The Pink Banana kitchen has the opportunity to purchase freshly cooked Thai curries. These are now available not only directly in the restaurant but also in Inntalcenter and Kaufpark in Kufstein, in Sparmarkt in Walchsee, Schwoich, Söll, and Ellmau, and at Interspar in Kufstein. More sales outlets are in planning. And for those who want to know the details, Philipp Zangerl has provided some recipes along with video tutorials on his website. Cooking courses at The Pink Banana are also planned for the near future. Anyone wanting to know more should check the website or the restaurant's Facebook page periodically, where all news is published.

Why Pink Banana?
Finally, it remains to be clarified how one comes to name their restaurant Pink Banana. While it sounds unusual, it is actually quite obvious. Claudia and Philipp Zangerl have a fondness for the color pink, which is easily recognizable in the decor. Combined with dark gray tones, it not only looks special but also very harmonious and elegant. And, of course, the reference to the location by the famous Banana Lake in Schwoich should not be missing from the restaurant's name. So: Pink Banana. Quite clear, really.
