Wochen der Vielfalt - Patschenkino am Rathausdach
Bhutan 2006: The ruler of the tiny, happy kingdom in the Himalayas decides to bring his people into the modern age and introduces the internet, television and democratic elections for the first time. But even the voter registration process is chaotic - and then there's the old lama who wants to use the same gun as a fanatical gun collector from the USA for a sacred ceremony on election day. A profound comedy about the rifts between tradition and modernity, regional and global politics - and about people who all want just one thing: a happy life. Since 2010, the cult feinkost PATSCHEN.KINO Kufstein has presented a special film every month at different locations and for around 40 visitors, which was usually only shown in established arthouse cinemas. Now, after a 2-year break, there is a new edition in the Kufstein town hall - without folding chairs, but with old flair!
