On January 15, 2025, Stefan Bruckkbauer, Chief Economist at UniCredit Bank Austria and Head of the Economics & Market Analysis Austria department, will be a guest at the FH Kufstein. The following topics will be covered in his presentation: Will growth return to Europe in 2025? In 2024, the hoped-for economic recovery did not take place in many parts of the eurozone or in Austria. Energy price shocks, rising interest rates and a weak global industrial economy are weighing on the economy. Will lower interest rates, lower inflation and a slight upturn in the global economy also stimulate the Austrian economy? Or will the measures to be feared from the new US government, above all the threat of an escalation of the trade conflict with rising tariffs, prevent this?
