OBERKRAINER CULT since 1966. As part of the ‘GOLDEN HITS TOUR 2025’, the Oberkrainer music legends are also coming to Kufstein with a veritable firework display of hits.
Over the years, Ivan Prešeren and Jože Burnik have written many Oberkrainer melodies that are still familiar today: Die schöne Urlaubszeit, Guten Morgen, Janez und sein Bariton, Mein Mädl aus Krain, Der Jäger Maier etc. In addition, the two of them coined the ‘Alpksi style’ or ‘Alpski sound’, which became increasingly popular not only with the public but also with fellow musicians. In addition to numerous tours - including together with international stars - the Alpenoberkrainer were also welcome guests on TV programmes such as ORF, ZDF, ARD, SRG, RAI, SAT1, RTL, BR, SW etc. After Jože Burnik left the ensemble in 1983, Edi Semeja, the new accordionist, delighted audiences. In 1984-1986, Vinko Šimek joined as a humourist. The unmistakable vocals were created in 1985 when Otto Pestner joined as a new singer.
