The Hofburg showcases 700 years of courtly history in its rooms: In the Imperial Apartments of the Hofburg, visitors can glance at the former residence of Emperor Maximilian, which owes its current appearance mainly to the influence of Maria Theresa. Empress Elisabeth, Sisi, also left her marks in the Hofburg Innsbruck.
The innovative mediation concept of the exhibition Maximilian1 offers new insights into the tumultuous history of the extraordinary monarch and his time. Digital visualizations and 3D reconstructions guarantee exciting discoveries for the whole family. The unique grand rooms impress with Baroque brilliance and imperial flair.
