Fistball - 40th Borderland Tournament - Kufstein

The fistball section of SPORTUNION Kufstein looks back on a long tradition in the fortress town.
Fistball has always been well known in Kufstein and has become a permanent fixture in Austria with the largest indoor tournament in fistball. The tournament has developed from a small preparatory tournament for around 8 teams into a major tournament. Over 70 games are now played in three halls.

With the great support of the municipality of Kufstein (Arena) and the two neighbouring municipalities of Ebbs and Kirchbichl, which fortunately also have beautiful sports halls, it is possible to play three competitions over two days. With a women's A tournament as well as a men's A and B tournament, the Austrian fistball elite will be gathering in the Tyrolean lowlands.

The end of October is the best time to prepare for the indoor season and so a first taste of the international level is on offer. In addition to the Austrian teams, mostly Bavarian teams will be competing in Kufstein. We are very much looking forward to celebrating the 40th anniversary in October 2024 and hope to welcome many sport-loving fistball players again. Spectators and friends of fistball are of course very welcome!
