Circus Days Kufstein
Charity-Event of Gemeinsam Helfen Kufstein, Soroptimist Cub Kufstein and the Circustage Kufstein
This evening features the modern circus piece *RE:PRESSION*, which explores themes of power, dependency, and control in romantic relationships. The two protagonists, Angela Kurz and Julia Makoschitz, who form Pardalea Collective, use aerial and floor acrobatics, hair-hanging, contemporary dance, and physical theater to address these important societal issues.
From a female perspective, the performance examines both the loss and the reclaiming of self-determination and control over one’s thoughts and actions.
It also highlights feelings of helplessness, dependence, and resignation. The production encourages viewers to actively break, resist, or overcome structures of violence and power.
Both artists are trained in visual and performing arts, acrobatics, dance, and performance.
Following the 50-minute piece, there will be a panel discussion. The evening will conclude with a reception in the foyer of the Kultur Quartier.
All proceeds will benefit social projects supported by the SI-Club Kufstein and the Gemeinsam Helfen Kufstein association.
The “Orange the World” campaign runs annually from November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to December 10, Human Rights Day. It aims to break the silence around violence against women, a human rights violation that COVID-19 has exacerbated globally.
