YOUNG MASTER CLASS with Stefan Hackl
The Young Masterclass is aimed at students and teachers with active and passive course participation.

Dr Stefan Hackl was a successful guitar teacher for many years at the Tyrolean State Conservatory and the Mozarteum Salzburg/Innsbruck as well as at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. His guitar class has produced numerous winners of national and international competitions. His work focusses on historical instruments and the performance practice of early music, 19th century chamber music and folk music.

As the author of numerous specialist articles, sheet music editions and CDs for major international music publishers, he is one of the most important experts on the classical guitar. His books include Die Gitarre in Österreich - von Abate Costa bis Zykan and the illustrated book Stauffer & Co - Die Wiener Gitarre des 19. Jahrhunderts and The Renewed Guitar - The Instrument's Evolution Seen Through Period Pictures 1775-1925. He is particularly interested in promoting young talent. In his "Young Masterclass" course, he offers comprehensive solo and ensemble lessons and also advises music school teachers on how to mentor their talented pupils.
The results of the Young Master Class will be presented in the impulse concert on 17 August at 17:30 in the foyer.

Young guitarists and participants in the Young Masterclass under the direction of Stefan Hackl as well as selected guitar students from Daniel Müller's class at the Tyrolean State Conservatory will present the results of the workshop days in chamber music formations.
