Crystal clear on the edge of the forest
In summer 1998 Tyrol's first biotope bathing lake was opened in Schwoich, one of the eight picturesque villages of Kufsteinerland. Fondly called Bananensee (Banana Lake) due to its shape, the gem's mountain backdrop fascinates visitors. Fed with drinking quality water, Bananensee offers a unique bathing experience. With its 2,300 square meters, of which around half is used for swimming, Bananensee is the smallest bathing lake in Kufsteinerland. Its size and location, directly on the forest edge of the recreational village of Schwoich, give it a particularly cosy atmosphere.
