Summer tobogganing in Walchsee – total leisure fun!
Tobogganing in summer? With the two summer toboggan runs and its many leisure facilities, Durchholzen/Walchsee play park-summer toboggan run offers its guests that little bit extra - adventure, fun and games!
Europe’s most attractive summer toboggan run meanders in elegant curves across green slopes and meadows. Undercrossings, a 90 m long bridge and lots of banked steep curves make for a ride which is exciting and rich in diversity.. Whether you have sporting ambitions or just want to have fun – everyone gets their money’s worth here!
The new 4-seater chairlift brings you in comfort up to the Mittelstation. Here the talk is of climbing up into pleasure! Whether you are travelling together as a couple, or if you prefer to travel alone, operating the sled is child’s play. The "steersman" controls the lever and can either pick up, or reduce the speed. You might be a bit tentative on your first ride, but gradually you feel more secure, with the mountain wind roaring around your ears. Those who are brave can reach speeds of up to 50 km/hr. But don’t worry; on the summer toboggan run in Durchholzen/Walchsee tobogganing is completely safe!
Now it’s back to the valley station, where numerous attractions and brilliant games and equipment await! Skydive, Luna-Loop, Nautic-Jet are just a few of the names. Swinging, jumping, wild rides across the water, twirling through the air and enjoying the sound of speed... there’s a whole town of entertainment to discover. An absolute hit is the simulator with its various programmes. It tempts you into a realm of fantasy, whether it’s outer space, the big dipper, as a passenger on a motorbike or in a plane – you can be up close to the action!
Of course smaller children will want to head for the adventure playground. Now there is definitely something to experience there! Log cabins and towers, ladders and ropes to climb, slides, stilts and much more. Right at the vivarium parents can sit in comfort on one of the many benches and keep an eye on their offspring.

In Kössen, right next to the Eurocamp campsite there is a large adventure playground for children from the age of 1 to ....
The varied selection of sports and playground equipment gets our young guests' hearts racing. There is a giant slide, cable car, a large climbing tower, swing, seesaw, sandpit, volleyball and electric cars. A paradise for children to really let of steam.
The "Kaiseralm" restaurant is right next to the playground, built in Alpine lodge style using craft methods from granddad’s era. Beams and boards have been chopped using an axe, and the tables and benches are made from solid natural wood. Spareribs (Kaiserripperl), Alpine meals and food served from the hot stone are a speciality at the Kaiseralm. On the menu you will also find hearty plain fare and international specialities, while in the afternoon there are hearty snacks and home-made cakes.

The new 4-seater "Hocheck-Express" chairlift and the summer toboggan run operate from Whitsun through to mid September, daily from 9.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. (on weekends in July and August up to 6.00 p.m.), except when there is continuous rain.

Here children from the ages of 0 to 99 can have the very best adventures, every day. First it’s a trip on the 400 metre long railway around the grounds, then it’s into pleasure ... whether it’s on the ‘devil’ slide, where those who are really dare-devil get to slide down 10 metres, almost free fall style. On the giant air bubble, on which you get to fly up almost into the heavens- there is always something going on here! One minute as a pirate in the lagoon area on a looting expedition by raft, the next on the back of a pony wandering through the wide prairie, or getting acquainted with the animals in the petting zoo (monkeys, goats, hens, etc.).
In the interim parents can get a bite to eat in the park restaurant, in case they get tired early. As well as this there is a dragon swing, a 35 metre wave slide, cable car pendulum slide, carousel seesaw, Tarzan swing, knight’s castle, bowling alley and the Red Baron plane carousel which await lots of young and old visitors alike. The biggest attractions for all the family are the pirate ship, the giant carousel and of course the 10 metre high, 400 metre long roller coaster.

This fairytale adventure park is set in a dreamy location, set in the natural surroundings of the Chiemgau Mountains, and for 33 years has provided a large number of leisure and recreation options, such as the summer toboggan run, gondola fun, the stubborn donkey, an adventure playground and the ‘Spritztour’ on the park’s railway.
The water play garden area is also very popular. Children get the chance to interact with the element of water in a safe way, and also get to learn in a hands-on fashion. Parents get to chill out directly next to the water area on quiet benches and on loungers, while the children can splash around to their hearts' content.
Those of you who prefer something a bit more romantic can head for the fairytale land and be enchanted by dwarves, princesses, gnomes and fairies. Nature-lovers really get their money’s worth on a walk through the game reserve, and in the petting zoo too.
